However, the mechanisms of origin of this phenomenon are not well known. Not only that there are doubts about the way they are formed, but also about their development in time and space. In general, prognostic methods, with a greater or lesser success, are applied only at the moment when there is a disturbance in the atmosphere. In this paper we discussed the possible effects of astronomical aspects on the occurrence of cyclones in the earth's atmosphere. Firstly, an overview of potential impacts in regard to the movement of the earth is presented, and then the importance of the solar wind (SW) in the particular and global earth's atmospheric motions discussed. Recently, a number of scientific studies have been focused on the connection between the parameters of the SW and atmospheric disturbances. In contrast to common interpretations, both in the media and the wider scientific public, that direct or indirect anthropogenic activity is the cause of these processes, the potential links are explained primarily in the context of the energy arriving from the Sun. The focus of presentation in the following pages is directed primarily to the research results of a recent date. We hope that the discussed literature may be of great help to all those who want to study different approaches of cyclogenesis. ©2012 Nova Science Publishers, Inc. |
