Развој Катедре за астрономију Математичког факултета Универзитета у Београду

Abstract

Елементи астрономије се у Србији изучавају од 1854. године. Од тог времена развој њеног институционалног вида на Универзитету у Београду (УБ) био је веома динамичан. У садашњости Катедра за астрономију је наставно-научна јединица на УБ која носи широк програм из астрономије и астрофизике, који обухвата мешавину посматрачке астрономије у оптичком и радио домену, нумеричких симулација, као и аналитичког теоријског истраживања. Иако се највећи допринос Катедре за астрономију развоју светске науке огледа у раду проф. Милутина Миланковића, овде ћемо направити преглед текућих научних истраживања на Катедри.

Elements of astronomy have been studied in Serbia since 1854. Since that time, the institutional evolution of astronomy teaching at the University of Belgrade has been very dynamic. Currently, the Department of Astronomy is an education-scientific unit at the University of Belgrade, which carries out a wide programme of astronomy and astrophysics, including observational astronomy in optical and radio domains, numerical simulations, as well as analytical theoretical research. Although the largest contribution of the Department of Astronomy to the development of world science is reflected in the work of professor Milutin Milanković, here we will give an overview of the ongoing scientific research at the Department.
